The City maintains seven outdoor rinks around the City. City staff flood and clean the rinks during weekdays through the winter. Approx. season dates are mid December to the end of February. Three of the rinks, Connaught, Alexander and St. Mary, are equipped with outdoor lights on timers which are on daily until approx. 10:00 pm. The other rinks are smaller and are located near streetlights so they have limited light.
The rink locations are:
- Connaught- 8th Ave. and 108th St.
- Alexander- 17th Ave. and 96th St.
- These are larger ice surfaces. They each have a warm-up shelter that is supervised part time. Hours are posted at the rinks. Outdoor lights are on a timer.
- St. Mary- 14th Ave. and 111th St.
- This is a mid sized rink. There is no supervision and the outdoor lights are on a timer.
- Kildeer Rink- located along Kildeer Dr.
- Fairview Rink- Clements Dr. & Maher Dr.
- Riverview Rink- 100th St. and 7th Ave.
- Civic Center Rink- located at the end of MacDonald Dr.
- These are smaller neighborhood rinks with low boards. The only light available is from adjacent streetlights.
